Asst. Prof. Dr. Duygu RÜSTEM completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Medical Biochemistry at Ege University Faculty of Medicine. She is currently continuing her academic career as a faculty member in the Department of Medical Biochemistry at Near East University Faculty of Medicine. Her primary research interests include cancer biochemistry, drug development, and the potential therapeutic and biochemical effects of natural products on various cancer types.

She has published scientific articles in internationally recognized journals indexed in SCI-E. Dr. Rüstem has served as a researcher in TÜBİTAK-funded projects and in studies supported by Scientific Research Projects. In addition, she actively participates in various national and international collaborative research projects. Her current work focuses on identifying novel biochemical targets and discovering new candidate drug molecules for cancer therapy.
